The design task through all phases of design process was to propose two semi-detached houses to be approved as applied dwellings and which could be easily converted into two Houses in Multiple Occupation if necessary.
SHOP REFURBISHMENT, BASEMENT CONVERSION, CREATION OF THE STUDIO FLAT, ACTON
Typical town house with a shop space in the ground floor and unused low basement space. The decision was made by the property management to create a studio flat in shop back rooms and to refurbish abandoned shop extending its space into converted basement. Broken guttering and sanitary sewage piping have caused the contamination of the building basement walls and clay floor base for years. It also affected ground floor walls. Back yard bushes, weed and waste covered its all area. The contractor did a great job excavating basement contaminated clay base, repairing piping systems, removing weed and bushes from the site, removing ivy from walls giving a new look to the rear of the site and letting building fabric dry.
NEW NURSING HOME IN BRZESKO COUNTY, POLAND
This Nursing Home is currently under construction. It will house a large number of very junior and senior inhabitants under the best possible care with many amenities for spending time and enjoying the climate and landscape of Polish Beskidy Mountains within one hour to travel to Krakow, the capital city of the region and the second passenger airport in Poland.
ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING BASEMENT AND ENLARGEMENT OF EXISTING LIGHT WELL, HIGHGATE
Functional and structural alterations to existing large dwelling which included improvements of the building structural integrity. New steel frame was applied to basement and ground floor large window openings at rear, improvement to existing load bearing wall in the basement, new large opening to the basement front wall, new RC retaining walls erected in the enlarged light well.
